Jim joined Local 987 as a Business Agent in June 2007.

A Teamster since 1988, Jim was employed as a Warehouseman for the Western Grocers Distribution Center, his last 4 years serving as a Shop Steward.

Jim is an advocate of the organized labour movement, and he believes that the fundamental advantage of a union is to give each and every member a voice in their employer's organization.

Jim's role as a Representative for the members of Local 987 is to support each and every member by bringing forth concerns to employers; ensuring YOUR rights are upheld.

Jim has a no-nonsense approach, and believes in honesty and integrity when dealing with members and employers.

Jim is approachable, open minded, and welcomes feedback.
